Would it be possible for the earthquake in Oklahoma to make the New Madrid fault unstable and put us at a higher risk for a major earthquake? I know the New Madrid is probably overdue for hitting another big one. Any thoughts on this?

Wow, that is pretty close to home. I noticed on the map over on the USGS site it says that people as far away as Fayetteville, AR felt it.

Dorothy-- I haven't read anything that would suggest what you are indicating, although earthquakes are an interesting phenomenon.
